Great News From 2018

Construction & Planting:
The farm now has approximately 75 acres of hops infrastructure constructed. 46 acres were constructed and planted prior to harvest season in 2018. This 46 acres now has 1-2 year old mature plants with established root structure and with the proper care, spraying and fertilization we should see a full, successful harvest from these plants in 2019. This leaves approximately 30 additional acres for our team to plant in the spring of 2019. Once planted, Fraser Valley Hop Farms Inc. will officially rank as the largest hops farm in Canada. An exciting position to be in while working towards our future goals.

Trained Support Staff & Suppliers:

In 2018 we acquired some great farming talent that have a true passion for the work being done on the field. Our team is now familiar with the state of the art irrigation system, soil treatment processes, stringing, planting and construction procedures. This, in combination with the trusted relationships that have been built with our: general employees as well as our lumber, aircraft cable, plant and fertilizer suppliers allows us to work more efficiently and productively each day moving forward.

Infrastructure building

– The farm now has a state of the art irrigation system which includes access to our 100m deep well drilled into the aquifers and will be able to facilitate up to 400 acres of irrigating.
–  All fields have been facilitated with drip line irrigation pressured hoses.

–  Propane power generator, 3 sea can storage units and 2 tractors as well as ride on mower, post pounder, 4×4 genie lift, wagons with scaffolding and 4×4 1 tonne flat deck truck with all necessary equipment needed for our employees to be as efficient as possible on the hop site.
